The Irishmen sits on Colby Avenue in the heart of downtown Everett, a proper Irish pub with dark woodwork, a long bar, and the feel of a room that has been the neighborhood's living room for years.
The kitchen does traditional Irish cooking without apology. Cod in Harp lager batter with fries and coleslaw. Bangers and champ potatoes under onion gravy. Corned beef, cabbage and sausage served with soda bread. Guinness gravy on the chips. There's a Reuben, a third-pound burger on a house-made bun, and bread pudding with whiskey sauce that regulars will tell you about whether you ask or not.
Behind the bar: Guinness and Harp on tap, Irish ciders, and a deep Irish whiskey list. Irish coffee made properly, with homemade whipped cream.
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4pm to 6pm. We're open seven days, noon until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2am Friday and Saturday. The Irishmen is 21 and over.
